Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Postumus, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

Postumus is a blog hosting platform that allows you to create blogs, publish posts, and serve them on your own custom domain with automatic SSL.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to register.
  • You must verify your email before publishing content.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • One person or entity per account. Shared accounts are not permitted.

4. Plans and Billing

  • Free accounts are limited to 1 blog and 20 posts.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.
  • If you exceed your plan limits after a downgrade, you will not be able to create new content until you are within limits or upgrade.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

5. Content

  • You retain ownership of all content you publish.
  • You grant Postumus a license to host, serve, and cache your content as needed to operate the service.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you publish.

6. Prohibited Content

You may not use Postumus to publish:

  • Content that violates any applicable law
  • Spam, auto-generated, or scraped content
  • Malware, phishing, or deceptive content
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Hate speech, harassment, or content promoting violence
  • Adult content without appropriate labeling

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms without notice.

7. Custom Domains

  • You must own or have authority over any domain you connect.
  • We provision SSL certificates via Let's Encrypt for your domains.
  • We are not responsible for DNS misconfiguration on your end.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

9. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time. All data will be permanently removed.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • Upon termination, your content and domain configuration will be removed.

10. Limitation of Liability

Postumus is provided “as is” without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
